8079 is a registered wrought aluminum alloy explicitly listed in ASTM B479 for annealed foil when the ordered product falls within that standard's scope. Its alloy designation is not a finished-package claim: the RFQ needs the exact temper, thickness, width, surface side, pinhole and wettability requirements, cleanliness, winding, splices, inspection, protective packing and the validated laminate, forming or end-use compliance criteria.
