8xxx Special-Purpose Aluminum Alloys
8xxx is the registered wrought-alloy series for principal alloying systems not represented by 2xxx through 7xxx. It includes widely used foil alloys and specialized electrical or low-density systems, so it is a designation bucket rather than one shared metallurgy or performance level.
