PPGI Steel Coil

Standards and supply condition

ASTM A755/A755M over an applicable ASTM A653/A653M substrate

Manufacturing and processing

Galvanized substrate is cleaned and pretreated before primer and finish coats are roll applied.
Coatings are oven cured, cooled, inspected, optionally filmed and recoiled under controlled tension.

Quality and acceptance controls

Verify substrate grade, metallic coating and organic coating system as three separate order requirements.
Check dry-film thickness, adhesion, color, gloss, surface appearance, forming performance and back coat.
Agree color tolerance, protective film, cut-edge treatment, coil or bundle packing and dry storage before shipment.

Selection limits

Cut edges and formed radii can expose or stress the coating and require suitable design and maintenance.
Outdoor durability depends on environment, paint system, film build, detailing and maintenance rather than color alone.
